Choosing a suitable plan

We recommend choosing a plan based on the metabolites and metabolic pathways of your interest.

• For screening a wide range of metabolites in addition to energy metabolism: Basic Scan
• For comprehensive analysis, including unknown metabolites: Advanced Scan
• For the analysis of small amounts of sample, or when high sensitivity analysis is required: ω Scan
• For capturing energy metabolism: C-SCOPE
• For label analysis using stable isotopes: F-SCOPE
• For comprehensive analysis of lipophilic metabolites, in addition to hydrophilic and ionic metabolites: Dual Scan
• For those who are focusing on lipid mediators: Mediator Scan

Type 1 - Extension of analysis coverage

Option 1：Analysis of lipophilic metabolites (LC-TOFMS)
	Approximately 300 metabolites, including fatty acids, acylcarnitines, bile acids, steroids, and polyphenols are analyzed using LC-TOFMS platform. LC-TOFMS Analysis can be ordered separately.
	Applicable analysis plans
Option 2：Peptide Search
	Names of candidate peptides will be reported when peaks with m/z and MT matching approximately with HMT’s Oligopeptide Library* are detected in the analysis results. *Library contains m/z and MT of selected dipeptides, and m/z of tri- and tetrapeptides based on 20 proteinogenic amino acids.
	Applicable analysis plans
		Peptide Search is included in Advanced Scan
Option 3：Dipeptide Scan
	Names of candidate peptides will be reported when a peak with m/z and MT matching approximately with HMT’s Dipeptide Library** is detected in the analysis results. **Library contains m/z and MT of selected dipeptides based on 20 proteinogenic amino acids

Type 2 - Quantitative

Option 4：Quantification of 110 selected metabolites (Q-OPTION 110)
	Concentrations of 110 selected metabolites related to glycolysis/ gluconeogenesis, TCA cycle, pentose phosphate pathway, lipid metabolism, amino acid metabolism and nucleic acid metabolism, are calculated with single-point calibration. *If the concentration in the sample is below the detection limit, it will not be reported.
	Applicable analysis plans
Option 5：Quantification of 353 selected metabolites (Q-OPTION 353)
	Concentrations of 353 selected metabolites related to glycolysis/ gluconeogenesis, TCA cycle, pentose phosphate pathway, lipid metabolism, amino acid metabolism and nucleic acid metabolism, are calculated with single-point calibration. *If the concentration in the sample is below the detection limit, it will not be reported.
	Applicable analysis plans

Type 3 – Additional analysis

Option 6：Additional analysis report
	The following will be performed for one pattern specified by the customer: ・Comparison between groups ・Statistical analysis ・Pathway maps * Due to the nature of the analysis methods, PCA and HCA can be performed only for tests with three or more samples. ** For two or more patterns, please place an order for the respective patterns.
